DEBIAN
Debian is a kernel-based operating system Linux. Fedora
Fedora (previously called Fedora Core, sometimes referred to as the Fedora Linux) is an RPM-based Linux distribution and yum developed by the Fedora Project is supported by a community of programmers and sponsored by Red Hat. The name comes from the character Fedora fedora used in Red Hat logo. In the release 1 to 6 of this distribution called Fedora Core, which later became the release to the Fedora-7.

Xandros
Xandros Linux is a Linux distribution based on KDE system. It looks very similar to Microsoft Windows, so if the operation is very easy and comfortable. However, Xandros has a better integration with Windows networks, capable of running OfficeXP applications, capable meresize NTFS partitions during installation, etc.. Xandros is not free but it is a commercial product.

Nama Fedora berasal dari karakter fedora yang digunakan di logo Red Hat. Pada rilis 1 sampai 6 distro ini bernama Fedora Core yang kemudian berubah menjadi Fedora pada rilis ke-7.

XANDROS
Xandros Linux adalah sebuah distro Linux yang berdasarkan pada sistim KDE. Tampilannya sangat mirip dengan Microsoft Windows, jadi apabila dioperasikan sangat mudah dan nyaman. Tetapi, Xandros memiliki integrasi lebih baik dengan jaringan Windows, mampu menjalankan aplikasi OfficeXP, mampu meresize partisi NTFS saat instalasi, dll. Xandros juga bukan merupakan produk gratis tetapi komersial.

PlayStation 4 – Part 2

Here's the second part in our feature on the series we can't wait to see on the PlayStation 4, with three more hot series spanning multiple genres highlighted. These series have all come to be known as PlayStation series first and foremost (either because they're developed by Sony themselves, or because the developers were bribed by Sony…hey, it could happen). Here they are then, in no particular order.

Suikoden Series - Konami wasn't known for producing RPG's when Suikoden was first released on the PS1, and the underwhelming looking 2D RPG wasn't given much notice at first, considering the more prominent games soon to be released, including Wild Arms and Final Fantasy 7. Once gamers played it though, they were captivated by the storytelling and music, and Suikoden became a surprise hit, selling over 100,000 copies. Despite the respectable sales, Suikoden 2 was released in 1999 to limited quantities, and the game would end up being one of the most sought after on Ebay to this day, arguably being the most beloved entry in the series.

The PlayStation 2 got the next 3 instalments of the series, as well as a spin-off Tactics title. All 4 games performed well, and were positively received, though part 4 received the most mixed reviews. The DS recently got a new Suikoden game, and the series is expected to see its 6th main series entry in the near future, likely for the PS3.

Barring a sales disaster, expect Suikoden 7 to call the PlayStation 4 home at some point in the future, as Konami continues to expand the Suikoden world and introduce more and more of those mysterious true runes.

God of War Series - God of War hit the scene in 2005 and took it by storm, selling 3 million copies and winning numerous awards. The 3D action game was lauded for its tremendous graphics, music, and gameplay, and was almost instantly picked up by Universal Studios for a movie adaptation, which is still in development.

While it was thought the series would shift to the PS3 with part 2, Sony decided not to mess with a good thing and pumped it out on the PS2, to which it received as much critical acclaim as the first. Mobile phones and the PSP later got spinoff titles, with part 3 in development for the PS3, with as many as 50 enemies onscreen at once in the upcoming version.

This series will surely see the light of day on the PS4, and should make for some crazy hack and slash action. Only time will tell how many enemies Sony will be able to cram on screen in a PS4 version, but it should be awe inspiring and hectic fun.

Gran Turismo Series - The first Gran Turismo was a huge departure for the racing genre, taking a simulation approach that was usually reserved for games like Formula One and Nascar, but Gran Turismo did it with the kind of style, addictive and fun gameplay, and plethora of options that vaulted it above all others. The game was almost instantly hailed as one of the best racing games ever, with each successive entry in the series somehow managing to top the one before.

Gran Turismo features an exhaustive selection of tracks, cars, race types, and events, starting you off with just a small amount of money with which you can buy any number of real world cars. Winning races awards money which can be used to upgrade existing cars with a large collection of parts, or purchase new cars.

All 4 games in the GT series have approached or surpassed 10 million copies sold, giving it one of the highest ratios of game sales per release of any series with 4 or more games. The 5th game is currently in development for the PS3, with the 6th game likely coming for the PS4 close to launch.

SOCOM Series - While the most recent installment of the series was a disappoint for many, SOCOM still stands as one of Sony's most recognizable and popular franchises, and also one of their few mature-rated and online-centered franchises, with the ability to compete directly with some of Microsoft's own shooters and online games, areas that have traditionally been stronger on Microsoft's consoles.

We'd love to see a new version of this series fulfill the promise we expected out of the PS3 version. We're talking blazing fast online play, tight controls, gorgeous graphics, and rocking sound, and even more character customization options. And while online play is the major draw for SOCOM, we'd prefer the game not completely abandon single-player. At least a small campaign mode will suffice, something to pass the time when we don't feel like mixing it up with other dudes online.

There you have it, four more stellar series waiting in the wings for their chance to shine on the PlayStation 4, or rather their chance to smash into walls, hack things up, snipe noobs, and bust out true runes. It's going to be an experience unlike any other.

PlayStation 4 – Part 1

The thought of playing the biggest and best franchises on the PlayStation 4 gets me as giddy as a schoolgirl (not actually all that hard to do I admit). With that mind, let's look at some series that are intertwined with the PlayStation brand and likely to see new releases on Sony's behemoth come 2012 (or thereabouts).

Metal Gear Series - Despite the defection of other key series to the Xbox 360, Konami kept the newest MGS instalment exclusively for the PlayStation 3.

Metal Gear got its start way back in the late 80's on the Nintendo, then disappeared for several years before making a triumphant return on the PlayStation 1 with the first Metal Gear Solid. Brilliant gameplay, storytelling, voice acting, and music, all combined to make MGS one of the most popular PS1 games ever.

MGS 2 made the jump to the PS2, and despite a noteworthy twist about halfway through the game that sent fans reeling and flooding message boards with angry curses, the game was extremely well received, topping MGS 1 in sales with over 7 million. MGS 3 followed and was another success, though its sales didn't quite live up to expectations, selling 3.7 million copies (if you can call that underwhelming, which apparently you can).

Recently we were blessed with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on PlayStation 3, the most well-received title in the series to date, which has already sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide. With the recent teaser that a new MGS is forthcoming, it's likely that the PS4 will see Metal Gear Solid 6, and not 5, which will likely return to the PS3. Bring it on.

Final Fantasy Series - The once prolific Final Fantasy series has begun to slow with age. The series had its monumental debut on the PlayStation 1 with the 7th instalment of the franchise, selling 10 million copies worldwide, and standing to this day as one of the most talked about and debated games ever. That was quickly followed a year and a half later with part 8, which sold over 8 million copies. Part 9, an homage to earlier games in the series, also saw release on the PS1, selling over 5 million copies. By 2001 and the release of part 10 on the PS2, the series had seen 4 releases in just over 5 years, selling nearly 30 million copies in that span.

Things dried up after 10 though, partly due to the box office failure of the Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within movie, which hit Square hard, with losses in the range of $100 million. The company slowed down game production as it attempted to restructure itself and weather the storm, eventually joining forces with rival Enix.

In the last 8 years we've only seen one major release in the series, part 12, which sold over 5 million copies and continued the series standard of exceptional sales and critical praise. With 13 still awaiting release on the PS3, it's likely to be the only main series instalment to see release on the current system. Final Fantasy 14 has already been hinted at by Square, and will hopefully see release early in the PS4's life cycle, stimulating both the system, and the RPG genre.

Hot Shots Golf Series - Though golf has seen a tremendous increase in popularity in the Tiger Woods era, the game is still seen by many as bland and boring, and this perception often followed golf games around as well. That all changed with the release of Hot Shots Golf on the PS1. Hot Shots combined fun characters and easy controls with a realistic physics engine and quick play to make golf enjoyable even for those who had previously had little exposure or interest in the sport.

Hot Shots 2 went to a different developer, but continued the series success, as did part 3, the first version released on the PS2. Part 4 saw the introduction of online play, which proved to be a great feature. Players could take part in tournaments and match play modes, and a website sprung up where players conducted their own seasons.

HSG 5 came out for the PS3, with improved graphics and physics, and the same easy play style and charming characters. HSG 6 will likely see release on the PS3, giving each PlayStation system 2 versions of the series. Expect the PS4 to get part 7 close to launch, a great start to the system for sports fans everywhere.

With these 3 series and many more making likely appearances on the PlayStation 4, things are certainly promising for Sony's next console. Too bad we have a few years yet before we can lovingly caress it and hold it in our arms (that is common practice is it not?).

As it stands, it appears that the two PS3 entries in the Fabula Nova Crystalis triumvirate of games will be the only single-player FF games which will see release on the PS3. This of course all depends on the release of the PS4. FFXV could also very well see release on the PS3 if system sales continue to improve, and the release of the PS4 isn't until at least 2013 or later. All we know for a near certainty is that some FF game, be it 15, 16, or even 17, will likely grace the PS4 someday.

While the PlayStation 3 has only recently been released and has its best days still ahead of it, Sony is not one to rest on its laurels, and with the intense competition in the video game world, plans for the PlayStation 4's future release are already being put into motion. In fact not only is the PlayStation 4 getting this treatment, but even the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 6 are in the early stages of planning and conceptualization at Sony's R&D labs.

Although we've yet to see what the PS3 can do when really put through its paces (in fact Sony states that games currently on the market are not even close to pushing the system to its full potential), the thought of an even more powerful console looming on the horizon has gamers worried about the holes it will leave burning in their pockets, but giddy at the possibilities of what this new behemoth of a console will be able to pull off. Just imagine the hardware on this thing, it will be insane!

As a result, the question on everyone's mind is, when will the PlayStation 4 see the light of day?!?!? While Sony has not released any official information concerning the system's future launch, the generally accepted release date is pegged as late 2012, which would follow the trend of Sony's previous console generations. The PlayStation 1 was first released in late 1994 in Japan and 1995 throughout the rest of the world. The PlayStation 2 hit stores in 2000, giving the PS1 a retail shelf life of 6 years from its Japanese launch. Likewise, the PlayStation 3 came out in 2006, 6 years after the release of the PS2. Following this trend that Sony has established would give us a late 2012 release for the PS4.

Other rumours have also circulated of late which backs up these claims. At last year's Game Developer's Conference in Germany, the CEO of Crytek announced that his company's development of their next-generation graphics engine, the CryEngine3, will release in 2012, around the same time as the PlayStation 4. Although he stated he had no concrete information that the PS4 would be released around this time, and that even if he did, he would not be at liberty to share that information, he expected this to be the release window of the new system.

It's possible that how the PlayStation 3 fares in the current console war may also determine the release date of the PS4, for a couple of reasons. If the system continues to flounder in 3rd place in the console wars, failing to generate the revenue which was initially expected of it, Sony may be far more eager to cut their losses and rush the PS4 to market sooner rather than later, possibly as early as late 2011.

If the PS3 does indeed fail to make ground on the Wii and Xbox 360, it may also convince Sony to try and jump the gun on the next generation console wars and get their system out the door first. Both the PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2, which dominated their generations of the console wars, came to market at the same time or earlier than their competition. The PlayStation 1 was launched just after the Sega Saturn, and well before the Nintendo 64, while the PlayStation 2 was released before both the Xbox and Nintendo Gamecube.










This enabled Sony to get a head start on the competition and gave developers time to build their skills at developing games for the console, to the point that even as more powerful consoles came after, games released on the older system were just as good technically, providing no real incentive for players to move to the new consoles.

This same effect has worked against the PlayStation 3 to some extent, as though considered to be far more powerful than the Xbox 360, the one year head start the 360 received has allowed developers to more quickly maximize the system's potential, resulting in games that rivaled games on the PS3 when it released. Only as the system's life spans come to an end will we likely see the PlayStation 3 come out with games that clearly trump what the 360 can do graphically.

How Sony plans to play their hand is cause for much speculation. What we do know is that the PlayStation 4 is coming sooner than we may think, and it will take gaming to a whole new level.

Pada intinya sih walaupun game ini memiliki sistem yang mirip-mirip dengan Mafia Wars, tetapi feeling ketika memainkannya cukup berbeda. Apalagi game Vampire Wars dihiasi dengan artwork-artwork yang bergaya gotik, sehingga menimbulkan kesan horor yang cukup mendalam. Game Vampire Wars sangat adiktif, apalagi beberapa sistem lebih disederhanakan dibanding Mafia Wars. Sehingga permainan akan berjalan sedikit lebih cepat dari Mafia Wars.
